You will spend the first week in Poitiers at the Cathedral of St Pierre. Participants have the rare opportunity to work with François-Henri Clicquot's most important instrument. This 4 manual instrument from 1787 is one of the most important historic organs in Europe. On Friday afternoon, the participants play a public recital. Over the weekend SIFOS travels to Epernay in Champagne, to work with an important organ of Aristide Cavaillé-Coll at the Church of Notre Dame. On Friday evening of each week, the participants play public recitals.

A typical daily schedule:

09:00 - 10:00 - Tour of the organ: Pipework of the G.-O. - Bedient ·
10:00 - 11:00 - Lecture: Ornamentation in French repertoire - Robin ·
11:00 - 12:00 - Performance Seminar: participant - Eschbach ·
12:00 - 20:00 - Individual practice sessions

The faculty for SIFOS is Jesse Eschbach, Jean-Baptiste Robin, and Gene Bedient.

The enrollment is limited to 5 participants in insure each student will have adequate opportunity to perform, practice and experience France.
